Tutoring Opportunities

These are some of the available tutoring locations in Palm Beach County. The programs listed below are in desperate need of volunteers and have students waiting to be matched with tutors. Thank you for your interest in our volunteer literacy programs.

The Palm Beach County Library System Adult Literacy Project is located in libraries all over Palm Beach County. If you are interested in tutoring one-to-one and live north of Delray Beach, please contact Kathleen Murphy at 561-649-5500 or (888) 780-5151 to be matched with your adult learner! Volunteers are asked to commit for a minimum of six months to the program.

Boca Raton City Library

Please note: This program is separate from the library program listed above, but is ideal for residents of Palm Beach County who live south of Boynton Beach, primarily in Delray Beach or Boca Raton. The Boca Library program is also one-to-one and is in need of volunteers at various times.  Please contact Joan to be matched with a student. Joan will also provide additional training if desired.

Tutoring adult learners one-to-one and/or in a small-group setting in English and ESOL.
This location is also looking for volunteers to participate in the Conversation Club. This is a club for adult learners to practice their new English skills.

WEST PALM BEACH
