Literacy Programs in Palm Beach County

The Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County has worked since 1989 to improve the quality of life in our community by promoting and achieving literacy. Nearly half of all third graders in Palm Beach County are not reading on grade level and according to the National Center for Education Statistics 2020 estimate, 22.2% of adults age 16 or older in the County lack basic literacy skills, meaning they are not able to read and understand short materials and fill out forms.
