COALITION SET FOR OCT. 15

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla., Sept. 2, 2015 – The Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County is recruiting teams and sponsors for the upcoming Great Grown-Up Spelling Bee. The fundraiser is at 6 p.,m., Thursday, Oct. 15 at the Harriet Himmel Theater at CityPlace in West Palm Beach.

The co-chairs for the fun competition are Literacy Coalition Board Members Dr. Rob Gingras, associate dean of Academic Affairs at the Eissey Campus of Palm Beach State College, and Ginny Neal.

This year’s Presenting Sponsor is LegalYou. Publix Super Market Charities is a Bee Hive sponsor. All proceeds will help fund the many programs provided by the Coalition, including Adult Literacy, After School Reads, Budding Readers, Glades Family Education, Building Better Readers, Turning Bullies into Buddies, Literacy AmeriCorps, Parent-Child Home, Reach Out and Read, Read Together Palm Beach County, Village Readers Family Education, and Workplace and Community Education.
