Thank you to everyone who attended our inaugural Author Talk Series on February 18, held at Glazer Hall, featuring New York Times bestselling author Elin Hilderbrand, widely known as “The Queen of the Beach Read.” Susan Patterson — author and wife of James Patterson — led a lively and engaging conversation with Ms. Hilderbrand.

Guests enjoyed hearing behind-the-scenes stories about Hilderbrand’s beloved Nantucket-based novels, including The Perfect Couple, The Five-Star Weekend, and The Paradise Trilogy, all of which have been optioned for television or film adaptation.

She also discussed her newest creative collaboration with her daughter, Shelby Cunningham, The Academy — a bold departure in setting and tone. The novel follows a compelling cast of characters through a drama-filled year at a New England boarding school.

Susan Patterson and her bestselling author husband, James Patterson, will appear at Glazer Hall on April 15 to celebrate their latest collaboration, a new novel, The Mother-Daughter Book Club.
