Children’s Program Assistant Instructor, Village Readers (Part‑Time, Evening) — The Children’s Program Assistant Instructor supports the lead instructor in providing engaging, developmentally appropriate learning activities for elementary-aged children enrolled in a family literacy program. This role supports children’s literacy and academic growth while strengthening family involvement in the learning process. The assistant instructor creates a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment and works collaboratively with program staff and families to support student success.
This is a part-time evening position, ideal for candidates with experience in education, afterschool programs, childcare, youth development, or community-based learning environments.

Literacy AmeriCorps Service Opportunity – Mentor, Tutor, Graduation Coach — The Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County is now accepting applications for Literacy AmeriCorps Members dedicated to serving the community and helping others. Literacy AmeriCorps members provide tutoring and mentoring services to at-risk youth and adults at elementary schools, high schools, libraries, and other partner sites throughout Palm Beach County. Members serving full-time* receive a living allowance (stipend) of up to $33,000 and are eligible for health benefits. Members who successfully complete a full term of service also receive an education award of up to $7,395.
In addition to making a difference in the community, Literacy AmeriCorps Members engage in meaningful professional development and training opportunities throughout the term of service. This opportunity is ideal for recent college graduates and/or college students taking a gap year who are interested in gaining valuable work experience while also making a positive impact on the community. Members build their resumes with experience in education, ESOL, coaching, tutoring and mentoring, making them desirable candidates for future employment opportunities.
