Testing/Enrollment Coordinator and Career Coach

Manage enrollment and testing for adult English language learning program, accurately maintain all student information. Administer, score, and maintain database with TABE CLAS-E assessments consistent with the Literacy Coalition’s objectives and mandated requirements. Meet with individual students to help them determine career goals, current skill levels, and next steps. Provide class workshops about on-the-job skills, such as getting along with co-workers and asking for clarification. Provide instruction regarding job options, interviewing, and resume building, as well as computer skills for job success. Part-time position; 16 hours/week. Work schedule is generally Monday through Thursday, from 4:15 PM – 8:15 PM, and it is subject to the school building being open.

— Bachelor’s degree required
— Bilingual (Haitian Creole) preferred
— Intermediate knowledge of computers required
— Sensitive to the needs of undereducated adults required
— Effective and excellent communication, both orally and in writing, organizational and planning skills required
