Best-selling Author and Executive Producer MICHAEL CONNELLY to Headline 30th Annual Love of Literacy Luncheon

Literacy Coalition’s Signature Benefit Set for November 16, 2021

 

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla., June 4, 2021 – One of the most prolific and well-known authors in the world will speak at the 30th annual Love of Literacy Luncheon set for 11:30 a.m., November 16, 2021, at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach. Michael Connelly is known for his crime novels featuring mainstay characters Harry Bosch, Mickey Haller, and Renèe Ballard. His newest novel, The Dark Hours, hits stands on November 9.

 

A former South Florida journalist and part-time Florida resident, Connelly has penned 36 novels. With more than 80 million copies of his books sold worldwide and translated into 40 foreign languages, he is one of the most successful writers today. Connelly is also the executive producer of Bosch, Amazon’s longest-running original series. His Mickey Haller series novel The Lincoln Lawyer and his 1998 book, Blood Work, were both made into movies. And coming soon, The Lincoln Lawyer will be adapted as a TV series on Netflix. Additionally, Connelly is the creator and host of the podcast Murder Book and is executive produced the documentary films, Sound of Redemption: The Frank Morgan Story and Tales of the American.

We’re grateful to him for playing a role in what is expected to be one of our most successful Love of Literacy Luncheons yet.”

 

Individual tickets for the luncheon are $150. Patron tickets are $300 and include a photo with Connelly at a private reception. A table of 10 is $1,500. Please note, seating may be limited. Other sponsorship opportunities are detailed here.

 

The Luncheon, co-chaired by Literacy Coalition board members Bernadette O’Grady and Debra Ghostine, funds programs provided by the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County. These programs provide literacy skills to children, adults, and families to help them succeed in school and in life. The Coalition’s goal is to ensure every adult and child in Palm Beach County can read.
